ARTIST STATEMENT

I draw inspiration from the environment around me. I seek to explore the relationship with color, texture, and brushwork while balancing representation and abstraction. I’m inspired by the colors cast by the bright California sun and strive to capture the atmosphere of the landscape.

BIO

Stephanie Missan is a painter born and raised in San Diego, California. She currently works out of her home studio in Carlsbad, California. She attended school at Laguna College of Art + Design. Her work has been featured in galleries across San Diego and Southern California. Her paintings have found collectors across the United States and abroad. ​​
